The recent perception of the rhythm and blues has totally altered in comparison to what the meaning of rhythm and blues meant in the slave trade years that the slave who were talented and could sing could express themselves with an variety of instruments behind the singers, informing people of the unfair treatment they received whilst being involved and captivated in the years of the slave trade.

Nowadays it is essential for the urban R&B videos to have expensive cars and jewellery,and any other sterotypes which are nessacrily interlinked with peoples perceptions of the modern day definition of rhythm and blues
